WHAT A GEM! The food was delicious. Tasted authentic and healthy. Everything was rich and crunchy where It counted. The service was fast, and the people were kind. Nice atmosphere, cool music playing. Would definitely come back. The taco shell bowl great for two!

Tucked away in Brandon, FL, Latin Bowl is a quaint yet inviting spot adorned with charming decor that sets the stage for a delightful culinary experience. I recently visited this small restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavors of their offerings.
Upon recommendation, I tried the potato balls and beef empanada, and they did not disappoint. The potato balls were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, while the beef empanada had a flavorful filling encased in a flaky crust. Both dishes were a great introduction to Latin American street food classics.
My girlfriend opted for a build-your-own bowl, which allowed her to customize her meal to perfection. The options included a choice between a taco bowl or a plastic bowl. She chose the plastic bowl and filled it with a satisfying combination of rice, beans, chicken, cilantro corn, sweet peppers, and guava sauce. The variety of ingredients offered ensured that everyone can create a bowl that suits their taste preferences.
While the restaurant is more geared towards smaller parties and takeout, the cozy atmosphere adds to its charm. I got the Pork Burrito which was awesome. You could tell it was all fresh ingredients. I got the spinach tortilla wrap and it stuck to the foil causing the burrito to fall apart. Next time I’ll get the regular tortilla.
The steak chalupas were fantastic. It was unique tasting with the plantains and a great portion. The shell was delicious and absorbed in my mouth. The salsa was excellent.
The stuffed potatoes were great with the cilantro sauce.
The service was 10/10 all the way around. I look forward to going back the daily specials are awesome. The value of everything was very fair and this is now one of my go to places going forward. They played great music in the lobby as well.

I ordered a meal via GrubHub. A bowl, with shell, with brown rice, veggies and chicken. It’s all awful. Nearly 1.5 cups of WHITE rice when I ordered brown, it’s basically a rice bowl. The veg was sad, I wanted the veg, I need the nutrition but it’s just all white rice. And the chicken…looks like the scraps I would probably not even feed my dogs. No one could communicate effectively with my concerns because bottom line, this product should not have left the kitchen. Do better. Because this is shameful. How about some nice cleanly grilled slices of chicken on a plentiful bed of veggies on top of rice! Yuck. Never again.

This used to be one of my favorite spots to hit after the gym. Unfortunately the last couple of times my order has been been wrong in the since I don’t get the right toppings or the toppings I ask for in general. Went to try it out one more time because I missed it so much and got my hopes let down completely as the bowel i got is nothing what I order! Expect for the chicken and black beans, thanks! I would suggest the staff actually pays their attention to the customer ordering over the phone so that it doesn’t cause these issues. Unfortunately I will not be coming back.
